The General Plan for the Consortium of Top Five Iranian Universities in 2024
The Vice Presidents for International Affairs of the top five Iranian universities recently convened a meeting hosted by the Vice President for International Affairs at Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS).
As reported by the Public Relations Office of the International Affairs at Iran University of Medical Sciences, a gathering of international vice presidents from the top five Iranian universities took place on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
During this meeting, attended by key figures such as Dr. Mehdi Moghtadaei, Vice President for International Affairs at Iran University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Masoud Maleki Birjandi, Deputy Vice President and Director of International Relations at IUMS, Dr. Ayati, International Vice President of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Mohsen Masihi, Director of International Affairs at Sharif University of Technology, Dr. Rouhollah Bagherzadeh, Director of International Cooperation at Amirkabir University of Technology, and Dr. Nakhaei, Advisor to the Vice President for International Affairs at Tehran University of Technology, discussions were held.
Dr. Mehdi Moghtadaei extended a warm welcome and appreciation to the officials from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration among member universities.
Subsequently, Dr. Masoud Maleki, the consortium’s secretary, outlined opportunities and threats related to international activities among universities. He presented the 2024 programs focusing on synergy to strengthen member universities, support government policy-making, establish internationalization frameworks for universities, and address challenges in internationalization through the consortium.
It was agreed that the finalization and notification of the 2024 program for implementation would be completed within one month. Following this, other members shared their feedback and suggestions to enhance cooperation between universities.
Lastly, recognition was given to the contributions of Dr. Nekoofar, the former consortium secretary.
