The Youth of the Population Unit within the Cultural Management and Extracurricular Affairs of Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) has launched an initiative to raise awareness about the significance of youth in the population. This initiative includes the categorization and publication of successful international experiences from emerging economic powers over the last few decades.

According to the Public Relations Department of IUMS, this effort aligns with the Law on Family Protection and Youth of the Population, marking a crucial step towards leveraging the "demographic benefit" to enhance the country's position in the global economy.

The young population is recognized as a driving force for development and a key factor in determining a nation's standing within the global system. Leading demographers and economists regard youth as the "golden key to progress, development, and civilization" in today's world. Countries with a vibrant, educated, and dynamic youth demographic are better positioned for global competition.

Analysis of successful international cases reveals that many emerging economic powers, such as South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia, have effectively harnessed their youthful populations through strategic planning, achieving notable advancements in a relatively short time.

The youth represent a window to the future that must be utilized wisely; failure to do so could lead to missed opportunities. Historical evidence indicates that nations that capitalized on this "demographic opportunity" have emerged as global leaders, while those that did not have faced significant challenges.
