Message of Warmth and Hope of the IUMS Vice President for International Affairs on the Occasion of Christmas and New Year 2024:

Dear Members of the University Community,

As we stand on the threshold of the New Year 2024, still basking in the warmth of the recent Christmas season, I extend my warmest greetings to each and every one of you.

This festive season holds a special significance for our Christian brothers and sisters, as it commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ, a revered figure in both Christian and Islamic traditions.

The birth of Christ symbolizes hope, compassion, and the promise of renewal, serving as a source of inspiration for people of diverse faiths around the world. It is a time to reflect on the values of love, kindness, and generosity that transcend religious boundaries and unite us as members of a shared humanity.

As we come together to celebrate, let us cherish the bonds that unite us and embrace the universal message of peace and goodwill. May this holiday season bring you moments of tranquility, love, and joy, and may the New Year usher in a wealth of opportunities, success, and fulfillment.

Let us also maintain hope for peace and cease-fire, particularly in areas like Gaza, where the assaults by the Zionist regime and the harshness of the Israeli criminals and troops have resulted in significant suffering.

On behalf of the entire university leadership, I wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Let us embark on this journey together, with hearts full of hope and minds open to endless possibilities.

Warm regards,

Mehdi Moghtadaei, MD

Vice President for International Affairs
