The President of Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) highlighted the importance of unified strategies and effective collaboration within the country's health system during a meeting focused on the recent 12-day war crisis.

In a session held at Shahid Yasini Hall on July 13, 2025, Dr. Nader Tavakoli emphasized that the health system is a crucial component of the nation's overall management framework. He stated that achieving optimal performance during crises requires coordinated decision-making and a unified approach.

Dr. Tavakoli pointed out that Tehran Province has demonstrated successful practices in health and treatment, particularly in crisis management, which can serve as a model for other provinces.

He further remarked that the Secretariat of Health and Food Security at IUMS can significantly influence policymaking and decision-making processes by establishing clear frameworks. He emphasized that collaboration among all stakeholders is essential for fulfilling the health sector's vital mission in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Additionally, Dr. Koushki, a political analyst and university professor, addressed attendees' questions, elaborating on the various aspects of the imposed war.

The meeting was attended by managers from hospitals, schools, educational departments, health and treatment centers, and health networks across Tehran Province, all of whom underscored the necessity of continuous cooperation in strengthening the health system.
