According to the Public Relations Report from the International Vice President of Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS), a third Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been successfully concluded to enhance the physical and mental well-being of international students. This initiative aims to provide coherent and continuous health-oriented services, reflecting the university's commitment to maximizing student satisfaction and fostering an environment conducive to their overall health.

The MoU was signed on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in a ceremony attended by notable officials, including Dr. Moghtadaei, the Vice President for International Affairs; Dr. Talari, the Vice President for Student and Cultural Affairs; Hojjatoleslam Dr. Soleimani, the Head of the Supreme Leader's Representative Institution; Dr. Khorshidi, the Deputy of Student and Cultural Affairs; Dr. Peyravi, the Head of the University Counseling Center; and Ms. Dr. Mortazavi, the Director of Culture and Extracurricular Program at the IUMS Vice Presidency for Student and Cultural Affairs.

This memorandum marks the commencement of the third phase in the implementation of the "Health File" initiative for international students. Its primary objective is to continuously monitor the health status of these students, facilitate early identification of health and treatment issues, and enhance access to counseling, medical, and psychological services.

Dr. Mehdi Moghtadaei, the university's Vice President for International Affairs, emphasized at the signing ceremony that international students represent a valuable scientific and cultural asset that requires specialized health support. He stated, "Establishing a health file will be an effective step towards protecting the physical and mental health of these esteemed individuals."

Under the provisions of this memorandum, the health of international students will be periodically assessed by qualified specialists, with all information maintained in a comprehensive and confidential health file. The initiative also includes programs for personal health education, psychological counseling, health screenings, and timely interventions.

This initiative aligns with the broader policies of internationalizing higher education and aims to enhance the quality of life and educational experience for international students in the country. Notably, the assessment of the health of international students was first initiated in 2023 at Iran University of Medical Sciences and Health Services, and it continues to progress into this third phase.
