Shohada-ye Haftom Tir Hospital hosted the inaugural day of a three-day nursing care training program in its trauma and cardiac emergency department on Sunday, October 19, 2025. This event was attended by nurses from various medical centers affiliated with Iran University of Medical Sciences.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Hospital, the training program aims to enhance the specialized knowledge and skills of nurses in managing trauma and cardiac patients. Experienced instructors from the hospital delivered specialized content covering several critical areas, including:

- Principles of Triage: Techniques for prioritizing patients in critical situations.
- Assessment of Trauma Patients: Emphasizing rapid and accurate primary and secondary evaluations.
- Nursing Care for Neurological Injuries: Focused on brain, nerve, and spinal injuries.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Techniques for assessing consciousness and implementing initial supportive measures.
- Standard Protocols for Multiple Trauma: Familiarization with established protocols for managing patients with multiple injuries.
The educational environment was enriched by the presence of Dr. Arash Fattahi, a neurosurgeon, along with clinical supervisors Zahra Tayyar and Shiva Yousefi, who facilitated discussions and addressed clinical questions raised by participants. This interactive approach allowed for the sharing of practical experiences and insights into daily challenges faced in specialized emergency situations.
The nursing care training program will continue over the next two days, with upcoming sessions focusing on cardiac care, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, shock management, and effective communication within the medical team.
