A Significant Step Toward Enhancing the Quality of Medical Education

The third session of the MBBS Accreditation Expert Panel, focusing on the review of risks associated with Accreditation Domain 8, was successfully held to complete the DEMATEL-based risk assessment questionnaire.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Agah, Dean of the School of Medicine; Dr. Eftekhari, Vice President for Education of the International Campus; Dr. Mahmoudreza Ghasemi, Head of the Educational Development Center (EDC) of the School of Medicine; Mr. Hamed Abbasi Moghanki, Accreditation Expert for Domain 8 at the International Affairs Office; as well as other faculty members and experts in the field. The session took place in the conference hall of the International Affairs Office.

During the meeting, following detailed explanations and presentations by the relevant officials, the invited experts completed the designated assessment forms. The collected data will be analyzed and evaluated to identify potential areas for improvement and, where necessary, to facilitate the implementation of appropriate corrective measures.

The presence and active participation of distinguished academic and administrative leaders highlight the high strategic importance of this initiative and reflect the institution’s strong commitment to continuous improvement in the quality of medical education.

The application of rigorous scientific assessment tools and analytical methodologies by the International Affairs Office will help ensure that decisions are made based on reliable data, objective analysis, and internationally recognized standards. This evidence-based approach will also support the accurate identification of risks and the effective implementation of corrective and improvement measures.

These efforts are part of a broader initiative to align the General Medicine and MBBS programs with international standards and accreditation requirements, ultimately contributing to a higher-quality, more credible, and internationally competitive educational experience for students and graduates.

Through careful planning, evidence-based evaluation, and a forward-looking approach, the institution is taking important steps toward strengthening its academic standing and establishing an ideal, high-quality, and standards-based learning environment for its students.
