On October 28, 2025, a significant meeting was convened at the invitation of the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in Iran. This meeting took place at the Iraqi embassy and brought together Dr. Mehdi Moghtadaei, the Vice President for International Affairs of the Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS), and Dr. Mamak Eftekhari, the Deputy of Education at the International Campus. The primary objective of this gathering was to foster and enhance scientific and academic collaboration between Iran and Iraq.

 

 

During the discussions, Dr. Moghtadaei highlighted the existing opportunities for increased cooperation between the two institutions. Dr. Haydar Muhammad Ali Nassar, the Iraqi Cultural Attaché, underscored the importance of this collaboration. Dr. Moghtadaei emphasized IUMS's exceptional capabilities in offering specialty, subspecialty, and short-term medical courses. In response, the Iraqi representatives acknowledged the strong interest among Iraqi physicians in pursuing supplementary courses at IUMS and expressed a desire to expand the capacity for accommodating learners in this domain.

 

Dr. Eftekhari further emphasized the efforts to maintain educational quality at global standards within the International Campus. She has consistently worked to ensure that the educational experience for international students is equivalent to that of Iranian students, affirming that there is no discrimination in this regard.

 

 

 

In conclusion, the Iraqi authorities commended IUMS for its commitment to maintaining high quality and standards in its educational programs, reinforcing the collaborative spirit between the two nations.
