Graduation ceremony of international students at IUMS
The ceremony convening on the occasion of the graduation of some international students at IUMS held on March 15, 2023, with the presence of the IUMS Vice President of International Affairs, the Vice President for Students and Cultural Affairs, directors of the Office of Vice President for International Affairs, and the Deputy of the Office of the Supreme Leader.
As the first speaker in the ceremony, Dr. Asdi Lari welcomed the international students and added, “The graduation program is memorable for me and is one of the best days of my work. Thank God, I see that the efforts of my colleagues have paid off and I hope that you, the graduating students, will continue your relationship with the university and continue your studies, and we will see you in the upper grades. In addition, you need to let us know your opinions in the future.”
Dr. Moghtadaei, the IUMS Vice President for International Affairs was the second speaker. Addressing the graduating international students, he said, "Ethics and humanity in medicine and in medical fields of medical sciences are one of the most important categories that distinguish medical sciences from other fields, and it is a profession based on ethics. There is no graduation in medical sciences, actually, and students should always pursue their studies and improve themselves with their efforts and knowledge, be up-to-date and shine at higher levels. We hope to host you at graduate studies.”
Then, a clip of students’ activity was played and the diaries of some students were read by their representative, Ali Burhan.
The program continued with the speech of the Deputy for Cultural Affairs of the Office of the Supreme Leader at the Iran University of Medical Sciences, Mr. Ahmadi. He said, “We are happy that you spent the turning point of your life as a student in Iran and at the Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS). We hope you will serve your country according to your specialty; the knowledge you gained at IUMS will be with you for the rest of your life, and we are happy to see you at the higher levels at the university in the future.”
