The second joint meeting of the members of the consortium of the top five universities in Iran was held at Tehran University of Medical Sciences on February 3, 2024.

The meeting involved discussions on various topics, including the presentation of a report on the past performance of the consortium, and the decision to expand its activities in specific areas. These included the formation of appropriate committees to implement the consortium's decisions, a focus on overcoming obstacles to international cooperation in education, research, and supporting the completion of upstream documents, the establishment of a joint financial fund for potential expenses, strengthening cooperation between universities under the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Science, and identifying interdisciplinary sciences and taking steps to establish them.

Additionally, it was decided that the secretariat of the consortium would be transferred from Tehran University of Medical Sciences to Iran University of Medical Sciences for the next term.
