Accompanied by Dr. Reza Falak, the Vice President for Research and Technology, and Dr. Fatemeh Sarv, the Executive Advisor to the President, Dr. Abdolreza Pazouki, the President of Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) visited the School of Persian Medicine on June 21, 2023.

In his visit to the school, the IUMS President emphasized the school’s international activities of, utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) in treatment, creation of wealth and foreign exchange earnings by increasing knowledge base productions, organizational agility, and enjoying the existing capacities of the private and non-governmental sectors.

During their visit to the school, the IUMS President and the accompanying delegation attended a meeting with the presence of professors, vice deans, heads of departments, and faculty members of the School of Persian Medicine.

In the meeting, Dr. Amirhossein Jamshidi, the Dean of the School of Persian Medicine, presented a report on the performance of the school and explained the achievements and measures taken at national and international levels, such as recruiting expert scientific staff, holding courses at the international level, convening international meetings on the history of science, and having books published by international publications.

He further stated that the school had also taken measures such as holding virtual congresses, setting up artificial intelligence working groups, launching a specialized growth center for pharmaceutical and natural products technology, inter-organizational cooperation with the municipality, etc.
