In a recent address at the celebration marking the 90th cohort of medical students, Dr. Mojtaba Talari, Vice President for Student and Cultural Affairs at Iran University of Medical Sciences, emphasized the importance of embracing mistakes as a vital part of the educational journey. He stated, "Student life is a time of trial and error, and one should not be afraid of making mistakes; the energy and courage of youth can pave the way for the future."

According to the public relations report from the Iran University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Talari welcomed the incoming students, viewing this occasion as the commencement of a significant and transformative phase in their lives. He extended his congratulations to the new students and acknowledged the presence of university board members and guests at the ceremony.

"Welcome to the large family of Iran University of Medical Sciences," Dr. Talari remarked. "Student life is undoubtedly one of the most enriching and enduring periods in an individual’s life; it is a time when opportunities for making mistakes, gaining experience, and achieving personal and academic growth are more abundant than ever."

Dr. Talari further underscored the significance of gaining experience and exhibiting courage during these formative years. He encouraged students not to shy away from errors, stating, "This age is characterized by trial and error. The energy and opportunities available to you during these years can shape the trajectory of your future."

In another segment of his address, Dr. Talari highlighted the various booths set up alongside the ceremony, which showcased the achievements and contributions of students in cultural, scientific, and artistic domains. He urged attendees to explore these booths to familiarize themselves with the university's diverse activities and to consider joining the ranks of cultural and scientific advocates.

Acknowledging the challenges inherent in studying medical sciences, Dr. Talari noted, "Student life may involve hurdles such as rigorous examinations and prolonged waiting periods; however, the smiles of satisfied patients in the future will make these challenges worthwhile. We at the university are committed to being your support and companion throughout this demanding journey."

Concluding his speech, Dr. Talari recited a poignant verse from the renowned Persian poet Hafez: "It seemed easy at first, but then difficulties arose..." He expressed his best wishes for the new students, hoping for their success, resilience, and optimistic futures in their educational and service endeavors.
