The Board of Directors of Iran University of Medical Sciences visited the School of Dentistry to assess challenges and enhance educational and research infrastructure. This initiative, aligned with the President's directive for school evaluations, involved key personnel, including Dr. Gholamreza Bayazian (Vice President for Education), Dr. Peyman Namdar (Vice President for Development), and Dr. Majid Safa (Vice President for Research).

During the visit, Dr. Samimi, Dean of the School, highlighted the school’s status as the newest in the country and discussed its development, including 12 therapeutic departments and 100 specialized dental units. He identified several challenges, such as limited educational space, inadequate research facilities, and budgetary issues.

Dr. Bayazian emphasized the importance of understanding these challenges to improve educational quality and announced plans to optimize the use of existing hospital facilities.

Dr. Namdar addressed administrative reforms necessary for relocating the school building, while Dr. Hashemi presented a report on the school’s strengths and weaknesses.

The meeting concluded with a proposal from the student vice president for establishing a specialized dental journal and collaboration on cultural programs. This visit is part of a broader strategy to enhance the School of Dentistry's infrastructure and educational offerings in the coming months.
