2nd Internationalization Forum on Health Diplomacy
The second session of the internationalization was held on "Health Diplomacy" organized by the Office of Vice President for International Affairs at the Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS).
The Deputy Minister of Health announced the establishment of the Health Diplomacy program at the university and emphasized the importance of international student recruitment, highlighting the benefits of academic exchange and strengthening the country's scientific authority. The session also discussed the need to address consular issues for international students entering and leaving the country.
The session was comprised of two separate but related panels: Health Centered Panel and Diplomacy Centered Panel
The panelists of each panel delivered their speeches and at the end of each, the audience put forward the questions and the panelists replied.
The session touched upon the significant increase in international student enrollment at the university compared to other medical universities in Iran, as well as the importance of internationalization in education. The session also highlighted the role of health diplomacy in international affairs and emphasized the need for coordination among various organizations to address global health challenges.
