The 14th meeting of hospital directors from Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) was convened at Shohada-ye Haftom-e Tir Hospital, focusing on crisis management and the enhancement of medical services, with Dr. Nader Tavakoli, the university president, in attendance.

According to a report from the Public Relations Department of Iran University of Medical Sciences, this meeting brought together hospital directors and supervisors, including university vice presidents and staff directors. The discussions centered on evaluating the performance during recent crises and strategizing improvements for medical infrastructure.

At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Tavakoli commended the medical staff for their exemplary performance during critical situations. He emphasized three key objectives: the activation of the crisis management system across all hospitals, the compilation of a strengths and weaknesses matrix based on recent experiences to be submitted to the Ministry of Health, and the establishment of a joint Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in collaboration with Tehran and Shahid Beheshti Medical Sciences universities. He noted that the retention rate of over 95% of staff during the recent crisis reflects the university's robust capabilities in human resources management.

Following Dr. Tavakoli's remarks, several university vice presidents, along with the head and deputy head of treatment at Shohada_ye Haftom-e Tir Hospital and various hospital managers, delivered presentations addressing relevant topics.
