Inauguration of the Elderly-Friendly Center at Kazemian Comprehensive Health Services Center

 

The Kazemian Comprehensive Health Services Center recently celebrated the opening of its new "Elderly-Friendly Center," an initiative aimed at enhancing healthcare services for the elderly population. The event was attended by Dr. Farbod Ebadi-Azar, the Vice President for Health of the Iran University of Medical Sciences, along with various vice presidents, managers, and health officials.

 

According to the Public Relations Department of Northwest Health Center 2, the inauguration ceremony commenced with a welcoming address by Dr. Tahmasebi, Head of the Kazemian Health Center. He provided an overview of the center's preparation process and outlined the measures implemented to operationalize the Elderly-Friendly Plan. Dr. Tahmasebi introduced the various sections of the center, detailing the services, activities, and standards associated with this initiative.

 

Following the introduction, Dr. Ebadi-Azar officially inaugurated the Kazemian Elderly-Friendly Center, accompanied by a tour of its facilities. In his address, he underscored the critical importance of prioritizing the health and well-being of the elderly. He highlighted the significant role that comprehensive health service centers play in delivering holistic care, education, and support for older adults. Dr. Ebadi-Azar emphasized the necessity of adhering to "elderly-friendliness" principles within healthcare environments to effectively serve this vital segment of society. He also commended the dedication and compassion exhibited by the staff at the Kazemian Center.

 

During the ceremony, Ms. Fadayian, a dedicated staff member, presented Dr. Ebadi-Azar with her book titled "Care for the Elderly." The Vice President expressed his appreciation for this valuable contribution to the field and recognized Ms. Fadayian as a model of creativity and commitment among health professionals.

 

After the formal proceedings, Dr. Ebadi-Azar, accompanied by Dr. Ardalan and other team members, toured the various departments of the Kazemian Health Center. They closely observed the service delivery processes, facilities, and activities, engaging with staff members to address their concerns and emphasize ongoing support and collaboration.

 

The ceremony also featured the presence of notable figures, including Dr. Damirian and Dr. Afsordeh from the Ministry of Health, Dr. Firoozbakht, Director of the Family Health Department, Dr. Ardalan, Head of Northwest Health Center 2, and Dr. Shahbazi, Deputy of the Center.

 

This successful event was facilitated by Dr. Mirsharifi, Head of the Family Health Unit at Northwest Health Center 2, with contributions from specialists in the Family Health Unit. The collective efforts and dedication of all Kazemian Health Center staff in enhancing the quality of health services and fostering a safe and dignified environment for the elderly were duly acknowledged.
