In a significant development for healthcare education, the Iran University of Medical Sciences has announced the launch of nursing programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the Islamic University of Ghana. Dr. Sayeda Esmat Hosseini, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, shared insights during an interview with the Daily Graphic Ghana newspaper.

 

Dr. Hosseini emphasized the vital role of quality nursing education in enhancing healthcare delivery. She noted that well-trained nurses can greatly influence patient outcomes, highlighting the need for ongoing education to stay abreast of medical advancements.

 

Additionally, Dr. Hosseini revealed plans for the establishment of an Advanced Clinical Training Centre (ACTC), designed to strengthen nursing and medical education through collaboration between Ghana and Iran. This center will offer specialized training opportunities and is set to introduce bachelor's and master's programs in nursing at the Islamic University of Ghana. Dr. Hosseini also expressed her eagerness for nursing professors to participate as part-time educators, aiming to foster collaboration and improve healthcare services in the region.
