The construction of Shohaday-e-Haftom-e-Tir Hospital started in 1962 and it was put into operation in 1966. The hospital was built on an area of 120,000 square meters with about 13,500 square meters building area in five floors. The hospital capacity was initially 150 beds and it was considered one of the most well-equipped and modern hospitals in Iran.
Shohaday-e-Haftom-e-Tir Hospital, which is still the largest trauma center in southern Tehran, now has 240 licensed beds and its facilities include a central building and several side buildings. The central building comprised of General, Men (1 and 2), and Women wards, as well as specialized wards of central ICU, ICU2, ICU3, ICU4, ICU5, emergency ICU, and CCU, plus Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Internal, Infection, Dialysis, Chemotherapy, Radiotherapy, Physiotherapy, and Imaging (which includes radiology, CT Scan, ultrasound, portable radiology, cardio, CCU, and ICU units) departments.
The hospital is located at the end of Shahid Rajai St., close to several highways such as old Kahrizak road, Behesht Zahra, Azadegan, and Imam Ali highways, which makes it easier to get to the hospital.
